This dish won’t require a whole lot of cleaning!
Ingredients and Substitutes
Chicken breast, boneless, skinless, thin (2 lbs) – You can also use thinly sliced chicken thighs or tofu for a plant-based version.
Salt (1/4 tsp)
Black pepper (1/4 tsp)
Creamy Caesar dressing (6 tbsp) – While I recommend keeping the Caesar dressing (after all, it’s the star of the dish), you can also try using ranch or Italian dressing for another flavor profile.
Parmesan, shredded (1 cup) – If you prefer a milder flavor, you can use mozzarella.
Caesar-style croutons, crushed into crumbs (1 cup) – Choose a gluten-free or keto-friendly crouton if you need to adjust it to your dietary needs.
Butter, melted (1 tbsp) – Swap for olive oil or avocado oil.
TOPPING
Fresh parsley, chopped – You can skip this ingredient or replace it with fresh basil or cilantro.
How to Make Baked Caesar Chicken
Step 1. Prepare a casserole dish by spraying it with oil and preheat your oven to 375°F. Pound the chicken breasts if they are not thin, and place them in the casserole dish.
Step 2. Season them with salt and pepper on both sides.
Step 3. Grab the creamy Caesar dressing and spread it on the chicken breasts. Make sure you cover every part of the chicken.
Step 4. Sprinkle the parmesan cheese on top (be generous with the cheese).
Step 5. In a small bowl, add the crushed croutons and the melted butter.
Step 6. Sprinkle the croutons on top of the chicken breasts.
Step 7. Place in the oven and cook for 20-30 minutes or until the chicken is fully cooked. If you see the cheese and croutons browning too much, cover the casserole dish with foil.
Step 8. When it’s all cooked, take it out of the oven and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Pin ItHow I Modify This Recipe
- Low-Fat Version: Choose a light Caesar dressing and reduce the amount of cheese (or choose a low-fat option). You can also replace the croutons with finely chopped almond flour.
- Keto-Friendly: Use a keto-approved Caesar dressing and replace the croutons with pork rinds.
- Boost The Flavor: Add a hint of garlic, paprika, or red pepper flakes.
- Add Veggies: Layer slices of zucchini, mushrooms, or cherry tomatoes under the chicken before baking.
My Tips and Tricks
- Pound the Chicken: Thinner chicken breasts ensure even cooking and maximum flavor.
- Don’t Overcook: Nobody wants dry chicken. Bake the chicken until it has an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Use Fresh Ingredients: When possible, use fresh Parmesan and high-quality Caesar dressing to get the best flavor.
What I Serve with This Baked Caesar Chicken
- Roasted vegetables (broccoli, asparagus, Brussels sprouts)
- Mashed cauliflower or potatoes
- Garlic bread
- Avocado salad
- Arugula salad with a light vinaigrette
- Garlic breadsticks
My Storage Tips
If you have any leftovers, place them in an airtight container and keep them in the fridge for up to 3-4 days.
One of the good things is that you can also keep them in the freezer. Place them in a freezer-safe container, and keep them there for up to 2 months.
When you are ready to have this meal again, reheat in the oven at 350°F for about 10-15 minutes. I don’t recommend using the microwave since it results in a soggy meal.
